Biodiesel Production from Rubber Seed Oil as An Alternative Energy Source – A Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Biodiesel is one of alternative energies that can be used to overcome problem caused by limited amount fossil fuels reserved. made from rubber seed oil has high potencies in Indonesia. The availability quite much with more than 3-million-hectare plantation area. production biodiesel been carried out several researchers using various methods. Therefore, this study was conducted as a review obtain optimum operation conditions and effect antioxidant addition production. Production methods observed are esterification-transesterification, stage transesterification, situ transesterification Types added TBHQ, D-TBHQ, BHA, BHT, PG, OG. Esterification-transesterification chosen the most effective method producing minimum yield 96.4%. Antioxidant TBHQ 1000 × 10-6 (ω) dosage selected increase induction period become 6.41 hours, fulfilling SNI 7182-2015 standard, which 6 hours. Standard reference for observing parameters 7182-2015.

متن کاملBiodiesel from Mandarin Seed Oil: A Surprising Source of Alternative Fuel
Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) is one of the most popular fruits in tropical and sub-tropical countries around the world. It contains about 22–34 seeds per fruit. This study investigated the potential of non-edible mandarin seed oil as an alternative fuel in Australia. The seeds were prepared after drying in the oven for 20 h to attain an optimum moisture content of around 13.22%. The crude oil w...

متن کاملBiodiesel production from soybean oil using ionic liquid as a catalyst in a microreactor
In the present study, Choline hydroxide (ChOH) as an ionic liquid catalyst was used for transesterification of soybean oil into biodiesel in a microchannel reactor. The effects of three variables i.e. reaction temperature, catalyst dosage and total flow rate on fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) content (wt. %) were optimized using Box–Behnken experimental design. In order to predict the FAME conte...
